Dr. Ann Gladys is the President and CEO of Sommét Business Solutions, a division of Sommét Enterprises. In partnership with a team of colleagues who are experts in the fields of human development, organizational strategic planning, and change management, the leadership at Sommét offers employee and leader assessments, training, strategies, and tools to help clients reach both personal and corporate goals.
With more than 20 years experience leading and managing multi-million dollar organizations, Ann brings insight professional development, and strategies to achieve individual and corporate success. Ann's experience crosses government and industry in the areas of acquisition, technology, and policy. Specifically, Ann has served as the Assistant Regional Administrator for Federal Technology Service for GSA in the Pacific Rim Region supporting the federal technology needs of California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Korea Japan. She also served as the Director of the Solutions Development Center of GSA, which awarded and managed ANSWER, the first GWAC on the Pacific Coast. In addition to her Federal experience, Ann was Director and Certified Program Manager for the Millennia and Alliant Contracts for Computer Sciences Corporation where she focused on strategic relationships and market/opportunity assessments for Government-wide IT Contracts. In addition to her federal and corporate work experience, Ann has served as an adjunct professor in the areas of Logic, Probability, and Statistics as well as Interim Director of the Sanford Education Center at National University.
Along with her Federal and corporate roles, Ann has chaired and supported various trade associations and foundations in the areas of Information Technology, Literacy, and Executive Leadership. Over the last 20+ years, Ann has participated on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Government Information Processing Councils (now the ACT/IAC) and is the Industry Chair Emeritus for the Pacific Chapter. She has chaired the Government Information Technology Council of Southern California and Arizona, and the Federal Executive Association of San Diego. Ann has also chaired and served on the Board of the Strategic Forecast Council for and chaired the Civil Day of the Vision Conference for six years. Currently, Ann is the Co-chair for the San Diego Council on Literacy, and Treasurer for the Executive Women’s Council for the University Club of San Diego.
Ann is a graduate of the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master’s Degree in Business from Central Michigan University. Ann received her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University where her research and dissertation entitled “A Phenomenological Study of the Lived Experiences of Employees Who Work Virtually and Their Perceptions of Leadership Behaviors that Create a Successful Virtual Organization” focused on leadership in the virtual workspace.
